The residence halls were a huge part of the student experience and providing necessary upgrades has been a focal point over the years.
Wright Hall was a 29,110 square foot residence hall constructed of masonry steel and wood. It is a 3-story building (basement and 3 upper floors) with no elevator.
Ridge House was a 10,616 square foot residence hall constructed of masonry, steel and wood. It is a 2-story building (basement and 2 upper floors) with no elevator.
The 160 beds in both residence halls now feature new air conditioning and heating units, electrical upgrades, new furniture and flooring. The bathrooms were also expanded to include new tiling, fixtures and ventilation, and new entrances to welcome students in both halls.
The scope of the renovations for each building generally included; finishes, upgrades to the resident rooms, lighting replacement throughout the building, reconfiguration of the toilet and shower rooms, renovation of the residence staff apartments, HVAC upgrades to include new PTAC units for all resident rooms and HVAC for toilet and shower rooms, and Electrical work to include power upgrades throughout the building to support the proposed HVAC work, along with power and data upgrades throughout the rooms.
