This is the third community that Project Freedom has partnered with our firm. Freedom Village at Hopewell will be the largest community that Project Freedom has developed of its type and utilized an award winning design creating 72 units. The 10 acre site included all site improvements and appurtenances required to support the community. All units are barrier-free, and each of six (6) buildings house 12 apartments. All the buildings have an elevator, so that the second floors can also be accessed by someone who uses a wheelchair. The buildings provide a mix or one, two and three bedroom units, each having central heat and A/C, roll in showers (also tubs in many units for those not disabled) along with energy star efficient appliances and fully accessible kitchens. The exteriors of the buildings feature sustainable construction with Hardie Board siding and Trex brand decking, as well as cultured stone veneer. Each building is augmented with distinctive landscaping, and are painted in soft, earth like colors, giving each building their own identity. The community also hosts a 5,200 square foot community center to accommodate the various community activities, as well as the administration offices of the community. The entire community was undertaken in a sustainable fashion in compliance with NJHMFA Green Homes requirements, as well as compliance with Energy Star, a government backed program of international standards protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency.
