The Seward Johnson Center for the Arts offers a variety of meeting and event spaces in a versatile contemporary facility suitable for weddings, retreats, meetings, corporate and private events.
The Renovation of the existing warehouse / Event / Office building was to be completed in two phases. Phase one of the project included the conversion of an existing unfinished “12,000 sf warehouse” type space into state-of-the-art gallery and event space. With the simplicity of design that is accentuated by a picturesque view of the sculpture park and the large-scale sculptures indoors that lend a sophisticated museum ambiance. Finishing of the New East Gallery included new facade treatments, new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, a new commercial kitchen and finishes. The design and construction also includes acoustical engineering measures, treatments and enhancements to facilitate the optimal use of the gallery for a wide variety of events.
